Frequently Asked Questions
E-learning is an educational model in which learners are separated from each other and from learning resources in terms of both time and location. This approach enables education to take place without the need for a physical classroom, offering flexibility and accessibility for students regardless of where they are.
Synchronous Learning
Synchronous learning is the digital equivalent of traditional face-to-face education. It involves real-time interaction between instructors and participants through online platforms such as video conferencing tools. All participants join the session at the same time, allowing for live discussions, immediate feedback, and a more interactive learning experience.
Asynchronous Learning
Asynchronous learning, on the other hand, allows participants to engage with the course material on their own schedule. There are no live sessions; instead, learners can access pre-recorded lectures, readings, and assignments anytime, from anywhere. This self-paced format is ideal for those who prefer flexibility and need to balance education with other responsibilities.
A Learning Management System (LMS) is a software application—typically delivered via the internet—that facilitates the administration, documentation, and reporting of online education and training programs.
It supports the management of remote learning by enabling communication between instructors and students (or among students themselves), delivering educational content, and providing tools for remote assessment and evaluation. An LMS also allows for the seamless distribution of course materials, tracking of learner progress, and overall coordination of the digital learning environment.
The ArtıMetrik LMS platform is developed by a team of expert software engineers and is designed to work seamlessly across all mobile platforms. Built with different user profiles in mind, it offers an intuitive and accessible learning experience for both educators and learners.
ArtıMetrik LMS is available through flexible licensing options—including purchase or subscription—and supports both on-premise and cloud-based deployment. This makes it an ideal choice for institutions of all sizes seeking a reliable, customizable, and future-ready e-learning solution.
A SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) course package functions as a dynamic web-based content bundle. Today, nearly all Learning Management Systems (LMS) support and run SCORM-compliant packages seamlessly.
Within a SCORM package, presentation materials can be delivered in various file formats such as MP4 videos, PowerPoint (PPT) presentations, PDF documents, JPEG images, and audio files. One of SCORM’s key features is its ability to track learner activity—such as progress, time spent, and completion status—through the LMS. This tracking data is then collected by the server and can be reported in detail for analysis and performance monitoring.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is legally grounded and guaranteed under Law No. 6331 on Occupational Health and Safety in Türkiye. This law requires employers to take all necessary measures to protect employees from workplace accidents and occupational diseases.
As part of these preventive measures, organizations are obligated to provide OHS training to their employees. These trainings must be tailored to the specific risk class of the workplace and prepared by certified experts. The goal is to raise awareness, ensure legal compliance, and create a culture of safety within the organization.
According to the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 and the related regulation on the procedures and principles of occupational health and safety training, basic OHS training can be delivered via distance learning—except for initial on-site training provided at the workplace.
In certain cases, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, remote training was also permitted for onboarding purposes, provided that proper health and safety precautions were taken at the workplace. For general implementation, remote delivery of OHS training is allowed as long as the training content is tailored to the specific job and work environment, and an appropriate Learning Management System (LMS) is used to manage the training process.
According to the applicable regulation on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training, both the training content and the Learning Management System (LMS) used for remote delivery must meet the following criteria:
Training duration must reflect the workplace’s risk category, with actual session times aligned to legal standards (e.g., 8, 12, or 16 hours depending on the hazard class).
The system must enable user interaction, including elements such as practice quizzes, object-based activities, gamification, and similar engagement tools.
It must include a comprehensive assessment process, featuring pre-tests and post-tests, along with the ability to generate detailed performance reports.
The system should allow full tracking and reporting of user activity, including login/logout times, course completion rates, time spent on training modules, and more.
These features ensure that the remote training experience complies with legal requirements while maintaining educational effectiveness and accountability.
What Is a Workplace Hazard and How Are Workplace-Specific Hazard Trainings Delivered?
A hazard is defined as any source—internal or external—that has the potential to cause harm or damage to employees or the workplace itself. Workplace hazards are identified through the collection and analysis of data related to the working environment, operational activities, employees, production processes, techniques, equipment, materials used, organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, and similar factors.
In accordance with the relevant regulation, trainings on workplace-specific hazards must be provided to employees in addition to the 21 core OHS training topics. These are delivered under the category of “Other Trainings”, tailored to the specific risks and conditions of the organization.
Providing these customized trainings helps organizations meet legal compliance requirements while ensuring a safer, more informed workforce.
In addition to the 20 mandatory core topics covered in Basic Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training, there are numerous optional, generic training modules designed to address a wide range of industries and job functions. These elective modules offer flexibility and allow organizations to enhance safety awareness beyond the regulatory minimum.
Moreover, for workplaces that face specific or uncommon hazards, custom training content can be developed. This is done with the support of subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure that the training is highly relevant, practical, and tailored to the unique risks of the organization.
Custom OHS training helps companies stay compliant while building a proactive and well-informed safety culture.
Within the ArtıMetrik Distance Learning System, organizations can choose from certificate templates that are fully compliant with the rules outlined in the annex of the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Training.
These templates are designed to meet all legal requirements, ensuring that certifications issued through the system are valid, standardized, and audit-ready for official inspections or documentation processes.
In organizations using the ArtıMetrik LMS, employees who complete their training can individually download their digital certificates directly from the system.
Additionally, training administrators have access to a dedicated management panel, allowing them to easily download certificates in bulk for all employees who have completed the training. This feature streamlines documentation, reporting, and compliance processes across the organization.
Thanks to this centralized system, both participants and managers benefit from quick, paperless access to legally compliant training certificates.
Custom training materials prepared by institutions can be converted into SCORM-compliant packages, making them fully compatible with all major Learning Management Systems and accessible across all platforms and devices.
This ensures that:
Training content works seamlessly on desktop, tablet, and mobile
User progress and completion data can be tracked and reported
Content remains interactive, standardized, and reusable across departments
Institutions retain full control over their own materials within a structured system
With SCORM integration, organizations can turn their internal knowledge and procedures into professional, scalable e-learning modules that meet both technical and regulatory standards.
Employees can access the trainings offered through the ArtıMetrik Learning Management System from any device—including computers, tablets, smartphones, kiosks, and all modern mobile browsers—without any limitations.
This multi-device compatibility ensures that:
Learning is flexible and accessible anytime, anywhere
